Peter Pláteník
I’m a former professional volleyball player. I was born in Bratislava (Czechoslovakia at the time) where I was involved in sport from the age of five. At the age of 15, there was an offer for me to play volleyball in the youth team in Havlíčkův Brod in the Czech Republic. Now I know it was a good choice. I found myself in volleyball. I worked my way up to the professional club level where I played for 14 years and continued with the Czech national team for the next 10 years.
Michaela Pláteníková Jelínková
I played Volleyball for living. I even spent the first four years in France at a top European club in Cannes. After five years, I returned to the Czech Republic for a year, where the domestic big club VK Prostějov was formed. From there I went for three years to the German Bundesliga and in 2012 to Prostějov again. The 2012/13 season was my last. Exactly ten seasons in top sports, I ended my career. I have 4 championship titles from the French League, 2 titles from the domestic competition, I have completed several top events with the national team, such as the European and the World Championships.
